Also, I don't think Gremlins do that. They just broke everything every time my family slept for the night. Great for handiness, but it was annoying.
Her traits were: Romantic, Materialistic, Non-committal. I would not expect any of those to cause problems preparing a toast.
The neighbor's traits are Self-assured, Bro, Ambitious, Mentor, Spice hound, Observant. Her Handiness is 10.
The only thing I was thinking is that clumsy Sims were adjusted to have increased risk of fire when they updated traits. That was a while ago, but my main clumsy Sim is a vampire so I have not really seen the mess they make in the kitchen.
From what I can tell it is the stove, dumb luck, or a bug. The reason I mention a bug is because I have encountered some weird ones I cannot reproduce like death loops. Fire is also something that has bugged out, rather devastatingly and often, for me before. Imagine being locked out of everything and having to just watch as a fire raged for 15 real life minutes. I rarely have fires, but they always seem to be cursed be it in 1, 2, 3, and now 4.
