Why is the game skipping many hours when restarted?

If I save and close my game when the clock is 3 AM, when I restart my game the time in the same house will typically be 7:30 AM. Why does my game skip 4,5 hours? Shouldn't the clock start where I left...

Ah, it's that easy? So why didn't EA fix this? There's absolutely no gain from having the clock run before actually entering the lot! I wish lots could be paused when entering, but I'll not install a full 3rd party program for just this detail. I'll find a way.
