Why is the game skipping many hours when restarted?

If I save and close my game when the clock is 3 AM, when I restart my game the time in the same house will typically be 7:30 AM. Why does my game skip 4,5 hours? Shouldn't the clock start where I left...

Yes, I always pause the game before leaving a lot. During the same gaming session it might be paused when I re-enter, but when I close the game and enter the lot the next RL day, it will normally not be paused.
