Here some parts of the roof have less snow which would indicate it comes gradually."luthienrising;c-16490539" wrote:

It might come 'gradually' in some way, but it still doesn't appear to have any depth. - Maybe its just a large snowball pit...

Indeed. People can keep on trying to deny it, but... Showing snow shoveling, snowman building, snowballs, etc. with this level of snow is pretty much confirmation that's what deep snow is supposed to look like in this game. - Doesn't really seem like that big of a deal to me; looks more like Sims 2 snow, which I don't mind. The Sims 4 is closer to the Sims 2 in terms of style anyway.

I'm just worried that the weather won't be gradual like in sims 3. Sims 3 did a wonderful job with the various effects, like glass windows frosting and fogging over in the cold etc. And rain would slowly pick up, not start out as a thunderstorm right away. Snowfall also started out light.
Edit: Saw a screenshot and there IS frosted glass at least! yay! Loved that touch in sims 3.
Weather isn't always gradual. I live in SW England and it can go from bright and sunny to overcast and pouring down in minutes. - barisaxy7 years agoSeasoned Newcomer

The Sims 2 had depth to the snow on the ground, and even had two levels of accumulation. So that comparison doesn't really work. It is clearly a step down from The Sims 2 in this regard. - I honestly have no idea what you're talking about... I don't see a problem with the snow.
- Seems to be this way after reading a whole lot of these comments tonight..
Liked/Played more TS2 - Thinks the snow is fine.
Liked/Played more TS3 - Thinks the snow is flat.
Sims 4? Designed a whole lot more like TS2. Sims 2 has gradual snow build up, hopefully they'll do the same. "CoteDAzur;c-16490802" wrote:

That's a pretty good summary! Personally, I think the Sims 2 was better than the Sims 3, so maybe that effects my opinion :D
