Agree, the only personality and characters the pre made sims have is their appearance. For example Nancy Landgraab is iconic but that's just from her appearance, her personality is the same as every other sim.
It seems like in a lot of other packs aswell the pre-made sims are just sort of there, they have no personality or backstory like the families in Glimmerbrook - no character, personality or individuality at all they're just boring sims. And then the few sages are just homeless sims that lurk around the realm. All we really need is some sort of backstory or family tree, something to make these sims stand out and be interesting other than their appearance.
Also mermaids in Island Living - where are they? We needed some sort of depth on the mermaid storyline, even just a household of mermaids built into the world is better than nothing but there physically isn't any mermaids unless you create them.
