I'm playing several politicians and business sims, and even some of the freelance sims with a rented office somewhere ought to wear a typical office outfit. This game has tons of excentric pack theme based outfits, being cultural City Living or recycled ECO. EA often do variety, but they end up doing it too bold. Like some of the casual outfits with Cats&Dogs would look good if it was not for all the cat ad dogs patterns.
In TS3 I had quite a few very nice looking suit jackets with a tie. Some were very formal, while others were more casual, the typical office where yu don't need to impress neither your boss or the customers.
In TS4 I have very few jackets with a tie. I do realize that tie might be less common in year 2020, but still, it's a way to diverse our sims. Also a suit jacket with subtle fabric structure would be nice, without getting way too whimsy. As far as I can tell, we got only one suit jacket with tie with the Get to Work pack. Most jackets with shirt are non-tie and an open shirt suggesting a younger sim going on a date, not a modest office man...
Anyone else missing more neutral outfits? Any good CC out there? I grabbed a few full suites previously, but hardly used them as they were not Maxis match.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could sometime in the future, be able to select individual pieces of clothing for our Sims. Tie, shirt, jacket, outerwear over it. So far we can select their shoes and their hats, but I get bored with the coat/jacket selections under full body outfits. For once, it would be nice to have our Sims be able to arrive at their destination and remove that outerwear to show off whatever they are wearing underneath, no?
I'd love that! And it's not too late re TS4, because they could always add new categories and split up a few selected EA outfit, allowing for CC and more to still work. Would make making videos ad stories much easier, too, in the costume division. I'd love to see individual wardrobes, too - not necessarily needing to send each sim to a clothing store, but at least to be able to tag on swatch level what sim owns the swatch version. I like the idea of only one sim having a certain necklace, for instance, and NPCs should naturally never use any item (swatch) that was already tagged. :) But - guess this is all not gonna happen...
