I used to love watching machinima during The Sims 3 times, but stopped watching those for The Sims 4. I tried to get into them, but nearly 90% of machinimas nowadays are about nerdy teen girls getting with the popular guy before getting impregnated and it's really irritating and tiresome.
What would bring me back to machinima? Original storylines. I don't want to see the 10th teen girl in a row getting impregnated by some random guy at a party. I also don't want the 10th teen girl in a row getting bullied by popular girls because she's a nerd (while in reality, said popular girls are just jealous of her BeAuTY). That's boring and there's nothing original about that. I'm not saying that every single Sims 4 machinima is like this, but the vast majority of popular ones on YouTube are either about mental disorders or pregnancy, and it's just sad to see that people can't seem to come up with new ideas.
That is, there are some good ones out there, they are just much harder to find than your generic high school story. But because they are so hard to find I stopped bothering about machinimas.
