No is not the answer ☀️- Just bought the Luxe kit and I'm kinda disappointed. I just wanted that bed to be 15k simoleons or more. It's a lowly thousand dollar bed. What is LUXE about a bed that's a grand when there's a bed that is 15?!? Good items but they're super super cheap. My sims have money - they need things to spend that money on that look MODERN, not just old Hollywood glam and OLD lol!

The swimwear isn’t as original as I thought. Plus I think townies will start showing up wearing floaties if I got it.
The Modern Luxe is too similar to Get Famous and Decor to the Max.
Also why do they keep issuing similar pack names? Desert Luxe, Modern Luxe, Everyday Clutter, Bathroom Clutter etc? ???♂️- I'm tempted by Modern Luxe because it looks like a chance to get HSY-type build and buy without having to buy HSY. For me, most of the content in HSY is a waste of time. The one selling point is the BB, but I'm reluctant to shell out EP money, or even EP on sale money, just for a BB collection. Haven't made up my mind, though.
Poolside Splash looks like a pack for people who want to boost their swimwear catalog but don't want to buy Island Living. I already own Island Living, so there's no point in it. - I bought both the Poolside Splash and Modern Luxe kits today mainly out of habit.
The Poolside Splash kit has some really cute swimsuits! I like the cohesiveness of the color swatches throughout all of the assets because I love to mix & match swimwear tops and bottoms. The necklaces that come with this kit are awesome— so simple and versatile. I’m happy children got swimwear too, but I think not including the toddlers was an interesting choice. Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase.
The Modern Luxe kit has some really good additions too! I personally like the purse decor, the artwork and the record player. Some assets remind me of Vintage Glamour, so I think they would pair nicely together if someone owned both. I don’t think the simmer who helped on the pack took any inspiration from those items though, just seems like her style preference. I love when the sims team collaborates with simmers to create a kit, so I hope to see this continue in the future. - I wish I could get all the kits, but honestly feel terrible spending money on virtual clothing and furniture when I could really put that to me irl stuff. I am hoping to get the build buy kit especially but if someone gifted me any, I would take it. I want to complete all the build buy kits first, because I can always find cc for clothing, and my taste is particular.
While I love the theme of poolside - I have some criticism with the accessory items not being able to take on and off as a layer. Like are the developers trolling us with making sims swimming in the beach over ups or walk around with a donut tied to their waist. That item is a build buy and should be a floaty you sit in. we already have that in game, would have been easy for them to add it.
