Winning a Professional Computer Games Tournament?

My sim has mastered gaming skill. But when I enter the professional tournament. My sim comes in either 3rd or 2nd place. What do I need to do. In order for my sim to successfully come in 1st place...

I might try the playing one of the games a lot and then entering in that tournament.. get her focussed as well from the berries in JA so it lasts longer? -
