It's been some weeks since I last played and there have been updates and new packs brought out. When I went to play I noticed I could not remove any wishes as I could before so my Sim would get a new one. The option to pin them is there but not to remove. Is this a problem just for me in my game or has something been updated to remove this option? Maybe I need to remove some files and refresh the game. It doesn't help I have a internal server error on my origin which I know many are experiencing but it still updated my game. I noticed that the rewards had been moved from above the "select a new aspiration" and given it's own box below. One of the reasons why I don't play as much as the game keeps changing or bugs and glitches are causeing problems; and to be honest I get tired of it. If EA think this is fun they need to think again. I understand they want to keep the game fresh but it is very annoying to find things that are not broke are suddenly changed

It’s changed. Whims have been replaced with Wants and Fears. You can pin them but not cancel.You need to use the potions in the Reward Store to change them. When you complete a want or fear you get points and use them to purchase available rewards.

I'm not happy with not being able to X out the Wants anymore. For example, my sim is in a good relationship with her boyfriend. Then she rolled a wish to flirt with another guy. Not just any guy, but a relative of her boyfriend who lives in the same household. It took forever just for that Want to leave on its own.

I had a want that was impossible to do because I was playing in a scenario. It would be great if you could X them to get a different one to come up instead. I don't need to pin them but I do want to be able to pass on them if I can't do them or don't want to do them.

I agree. It is irritating. Your Sim person gets 25 "reward points" for completing a Want. Then can complain to another Sim for not getting all their wants for an extra 100 points. Sounds like a spoiled snob to me lol!----Should be able to either cancel them, no need for a new one to replace it, or have the option in Gameplay Settings to shut it off all together.

Wishes (can we not remove ones we don't want anymore?)

I'm pretty sure you can turn them off in the settings. Unless they changed that when the updated them.

I'm pretty sure you can turn them off in the settings. Unless they changed that when the updated them.

You can toggle wants and fears off but it seems like there's a bug that turns them back on again.

Thank you. I am not happy with this and I don't know why they think this is better. I am slowly thinking I really want to go back to the Sims 2 where I could play as I knew how too without rules constantly being changed.

Maybe as an Elder now I probably need to retire LOL

Thanks for all your replies. I am so sad what is happening to the Sims 4.

The goal posts keep being moved. That with all the glitches and problems I have encountered in the game are making me think is it worth my time playing but I do on occasions. I want to think it is and do hope playing I will like the game more.

Now if this was the Sims 2 you wouldn't get me not playing I had trouble quitting the Sims 2. Played it far too much for 12 hours a day. I wish I could find the Sims 4 this addictive.

Those in charge and of the game devopement need to re-think how the game is progressing. If it isnt broke don't fix it!

Perhaps I am out of touch being an oldie and having played the Sims 1 through to the Sims 4 since my 40's.

Would like to say I hate not being able to remove my wants and fears without buying a potion. Would say something more but I am a lady LOL

I liked whims for something random to do when I got stuck, but the wants I ignore entirely. My sims always get wants to become enemies with someone they don't know well, so those wants can just sit there forever. :(
