My inspiration mainly comes from Once Upon a Time and Avatar the Last Airbender, X-Men, Avengers, the Young Avengers. and then the inspiration moves to other Video Games like Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy and the Elder Scrolls.
Personally, wasn't a fan of Harry Potter, or Rowling's concept of Magic.
Ultimately, I hope for more awesome bigger, bolder, powerful, extravagant, Spells.
I want to be able to look at my characters like those other video games and be able to genuinely say "Wow/Whoa that looked awesome!"
Not "I suppose that's good enough."
Not just fluffy spells that temporarily put sims in frog costumes.
I want spells that can actually devastate another sims life.
Curses that ruin a Sim's chance at achieving an aspiration. A curse of infertility, for example could do the trick for Sims who have the Big Happy Family and Successful Lineage Aspirations. Ingredients, For a curse like this should definitely be unpleasant, I would say:
3 Orchids, and the tears of a Toddler/Child.
I'd agree with the World, I'm Hoping for The Dark Ages, Medieval, Renaissance, France/England. Hoping for Kingdom really a big, or bigger than a 100x100 lot (In addition more floor Heights.( want to be able to build a 7 floor castle)
for my Sorcerer's or King's Castle pending on what the city looks like.
and thence could have 50x50 lots surround the castle, the Market Square for Shops. I'm not going to make magic shops only because my Sorcerer is going to be the all powerful trusted Mage, everyone should be coming to him for potions, enchantments, prophecies, he shouldn't be going to someone else.
But I would love a Blacksmith, Some non magic skills would be cool metalworking skill line, Craft swords, We could have sword fighting/Fencing skills. Craft other things like wrought iron chandeliers and candelabras. maybe an Archery Skill in line with Woodworking, woodworking you can craft bows and arrows, and maybe Shields, and design a Coat of Arms would be cool with Get Together too.
So basically what I'm doing is a Arthurian-like Story. My Sorcerer is Lord Kaegan Castor, Arch Mage of Briarheart, The King's Royal Advisor, and Best friend. My story starts off with Him and his twin brother Daerick age 18, trying to find a place to call home, since their last home was destroyed.
So the Build a Tower and over time became the most powerful Sorcerers in the known realms.
Then with 17th-19th century Baroque fashion.
So I would love cloaks and robes but I also want to dress my sorcerer like French Nobility. Kaegan is a lot like The Sorcerer, in the Sorcerer's Apprentice, and he does play the part of Merlin in my game really well. Except, He is Kaegan, Not Merlin, so that makes him way more powerful!"
I want a challenge for once. I want to be able to create my own Enchanted Magic Mirror, my own enchanted Flying broomstick/Cleaning Servant.
The Key word is enchanted. Utilize enchantments! I should be able to choose and buy any common mirror in the mirror catalog. and then my sim can imbue the mirror with their own power until it's fully enchanted. Once the mirror is teeming with magic. the Sorcerer needs to cast a Isolation Curse on a Victim of choice. The curse will trap the sim in the Looking Glass. and voila you have your own Personal one-of-a-kind Magic Mirror.
That's how it should work I don't want nothing pre-made.
Same with a broomstick enchant it to fly, or be a automatous cleaning servant/Babysitter.
I think If we wanted to do Grim Brother/Disney styled things, If your sorcerer made a sleeping curse your sim could use any fruit, vegetable or use their cooking/mixology skill to slip it into a dish/drink, it doesn't have to be an Apple. If you want your curses broken you can optionally build a failsafe into your curses. For example if you want True Loves Kiss, wake a victim under a Sleeping Curse, You need Plasma of the Sim of the highest relationship of the intended victim. Remember True Love isn't just Romantic, it's also Friendship.
If you turn a Sim into another Life state, you should be able to decide if you want it to be permanent or temporary. You could choose to give the Curse or spell a time limit:
Midnight.
Before this Flower Withers.
Before the 3rd Sunset.
Before the next Full Moon rises.
Oh and another thing, If I cast a Sleeping curse on a sim, Take them out of commission when I'm rotating households. I will be mad if I rotate to another house and see that victim walking around, happy like nothing happened.
If I played my sorcerer and I put another sim under a sleeping curse. that sim should be sleeping no matter what household I switch too. even their own household.
