Witches and weather Expansion packs

I think they both will come. They are stirring it around differently this time is all. There is no guarantee everything from the past will make it into this iteration. It's all assumption and speculation. If it's a wildly popular idea though I don't worry about it. Seasons (or weather systems) and Witches are two things I'm positive will make it in. I agree it's just when.

I do hope that when they decide to bring back witches, that it's in a separate GP, such as vampires. I don't like the supernatural — beyond truly scary ghosts and aliens from outer space — and I will not add them to my game, given a choice. For those who want them, I will be happy for you when they come.

I fully expect Weather to be an EP.

All I want from a supernatural standpoint are witches and werewolves. I also want weather and seasons complete with sunburns :smile:

I hope they release a pack with more supernatural life states, but I wouldn't keep my hopes up. Seasons we will get soon in some form.

I don't think they would skip Seasons. In fact it might be the next EP. At least I hope it is. As for more supernaturals, I do hope we get more in their own GPs. Personally I want fairies and mermaids the most. But then I think about how much much shelf life the Sims 4 has left before they move on to the next title in the series, and I start to doubt that we will see a GP for every single supernatural that players want. So we might get one or two more standalone GPs like for witches, or several might get put into an EP.

Seasons will happen. A weather pack in general is one of those things that EA knows will sell. If it follows the trend of other TS4 packs, you'll have a robust weather/seasonal system and little attention paid to anything else, but it will happen.

Witches, I'm less certain about. Mostly because we already have magical abilities in things like relics ans voodoo dolls. The framework for a witch supernatural is there, but I don't see much narrative point to a supernatural whose whole shtick is "I use magic" when using magic can be handled in so many other ways.

I would love to see the witches make a comeback too and like @Galacticgal, I don't care much for zombies, fairies but I can support having them in separate GPs that way you buy what you want. Now seasons I really want my weather back and felt it should be a part of the base game. GPs could be added with seasonal game play.

I'm of the opinion weather will be an Expansion Pack, gameplay and all. If not, it's a waste of our money.
