So I believe I saved her to my gallery at one point but she isn't there. I just tried saving the current family to the gallery also and I don't see them? Am I doing something wrong?
When you first save anything to the Gallery, you'll find it on the 'news' page. I panicked once when I didn't find a family I had just saved on my actual page. But, I did a little 'tour' of the Gallery and there on the news page on the right among other new items saved it was. I usually don't check until the next day but by then it's in My Library. Check the news page for your new family. :) - Admiral8QNew Spectator

With no warning my mom sims died of laughter. I am so mad.
Well... at least you didn't die of extreme mad-ness. ;) :D - Karababy52New Spectator

Yay! \o/ Glad we could help. I'm so happy for you and glad it turned out to be an easy solution due to just a simple oversight to get her back . :) Happy Simming! <3 - @alyssa123 I struggled too to get my sims to die by emotion (playing a legacy so had to have 10 different deaths).
The hysteria one I struggled with for generations before I managed it, tormenting my sims with alternating comedy tv, playful paintings, cozy fires, bubble baths, jokes etc, you name it. I finally managed it with some MySims after an online tip. To get a sim to die of embarrassment was slightly easier, but I had to work for it. I have yet to manage getting a sim die of anger. No matter how much verbal and physical abuse from mean relatives with angry paintings around, I never get them beyond very angry. Tips from those of you who have had angry deaths? - @Arzekial Is the "bad movie" angriness from movie stuff?

Oof. This happened to the 2nd gen heir of an old legacy save I've since finished and deleted. She had twins. Just got married so she had that happy newlywed buff, her twins aged up, and she had a bunch of other random happy moodlets. New husband was at work, first day on the job as a cop.
One of her toddlers did something super cute I guess. I wasn't focused on the house and next thing I know the camera pans over to her as she's dying of hysteria. Grim comes and reaps her, kids are sobbing, I make the husband come home early. Shocked the plum out of me since it came out of left field.
That seems to be the way that emotional death hits. Strike right out of left field. "Sharonia;c-17358548" wrote:
I turned off emotional deaths with MC Command Center. It's such a dumb design choice to me and I don't want it in my game.
Can you tell me which MC Command I need to download? Is it in the basic mod or do I need to download one of the sub categories?- I had one of my sims die of laughter after he had just finished celebrating Winterfest with his husband and kids. He had a bunch of happy moodlets because of it and I think his alien toddler must have told him a joke. I tried calming him down in the mirror, but it was too late and he ended up dying in the bathroom.
Now, I disable emotional deaths with MCCC. I appreciate the fact that they're there for people who want them, but I hate how easy they are to achieve, especially the playful one. If you take good care of your sims and they have nice houses, they're just one joke or bubble bath away from dying. I don't think they should get rid of them as there are people who still like them, but I wish sims didn't constantly have a bunch of happy moodlets that make it easier to become hysterical.
