If I see something I don't care to buy or I don't like, I just don't buy it. If a company chooses to make something besides what I would like to buy, I am disappointed personally. However, I don't run to the Internet and trash the product, trash the company, trash the employees, or trash the consumers that think the thing is great. So, some of you didn't get cars or better babies or farms or etc. Companies aren't in existence to make sure every single person is happy. They exist to make money. Make money so they can cover expenses, make better and new products, and pay their employees.I am seeing a lot of "they didn't make what I wanted so EA is evil or greedy or stupid". No one is entitled to get everything they want all the time that they want it.Also, all of the speculation just sets players up for the fall. The weeks and weeks of "I bet it is going to be X." Is followed by, "I'm pretty sure it is going to be X!" Followed by, "I KNOW IT IS GOING TO BE X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Then, of course, it isn't X. It is Y. So, everyone unleashes their disappointment in negative, hurtful comments. Negativity breeds negativity. Next thing you know people that like Journey to Batuu are in a war with the people that don't.Also, people are mad because they want "more realism" in The Sims 4. I'll save that for another thread because I have a feeling I'm going to get flamed enough by this one. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong. I'm just asking, "Is a game worth all of the anger I'm seeing?"

So, if we don't like something, we're not allowed to complain? A lot of the people on these forums have been long term players of the Sims series. I've been playing since 2000 when I was 12 years old. I, and every other player, has every right to complain about the series. We love the series. But, because we love the Sims, that's why we complain. We want to see it get better. And a lot of us are not happy with the direction the franchise is going. Yes, EA is entitled to make as much money as they want, and, like you said, they are a corporation. They can do as they please. But a corporation that doesn't listen to the long term fans won't be successful. This can be seen with numerous failed games EA has ruined. I used to love SimCity before EA ruined it. Just because you're happy with the game doesn't mean everyone else is, and they are entitled to complain, and the developers should be listening. I earned the right to complain after being their customer for the past 20 years, and you don't have the right to say otherwise!

I also think you're totally uninformed about the legitimate criticism of this pack.This isn't a realism vs. supernatural debate. This pack literally will do nothing to enhance the Sims 4; it is totally isolated from anything else in the game. So there is no replayability at all outside of Batuu, unless you want to play with lightsabers in Willow Creek. Even worse, it's tied to a specific story (Star Wars) that has nothing to do with the Sims. They could have made this a general "Space" pack, and many people have said they would prefer this method. It would have allowed people to make their own stories. No so with this pack, it's Star Wars and that's it. And, if you haven't read the last hundred or so posts, barely anyone (if anyone at all) asked for this pack. So why would EA release a pack like this? Because of the fans? No. Because of money! Even EA should have at least a tiny ounce of respect for the customers buying their games!

I knew trying to speak reason was just going to lead to the comments I am seeing. As I said, I wasn't saying anyone is right or wrong. I was just saying there is a better way to voice an opinion then being so angry. I'm sorry I even started this thread already.

I think it's quite okay for the team to take the game in whatever direction they feel is cool. It really is as simple as not buying something if you don't like it. Also, I really don't think they should cave in to an angry crowd. That would be the same as allowing themselves to be bullied into submission. That has to be unacceptable.
