It really depends on how the game operated. If the entire online world was made up of other players than I probably wouldn't buy it. The sims was created to simulate life, and if all it has is player controlled avatars, instead of simulation of non playable characters, than as far as I'm concerned it wouldn't be the sims.
But that's just my take, I'm sure many people would enjoy that kind of game. Just not sure that it would be a wise choice to take the franchise to that level at this point in time.
