- We need rentable lots. I want to live on Sulani but also vacation there too.
- NacreousSky7 years agoNew SpectatorNope! I wouldn't have used it. I'm glad it is the way it is.
- Nope, I like the way it is because you can get creative with it being a regular home world.

It Sulani was a vacation world, perhaps EA would have bothered to make a hotel system.
I think this is because we will see a hotels/bed and breakfast game pack.
You're probably right.
TS4 has found a way to break up previous features in order to earn more for them. And, somehow, they never seem to achieve the same level of playability and complexity as what was available so many years ago. - Simfriend687 years agoSeasoned Ace

As long as resorts are not rabbit holes like they were in TS3, a huge disappointment, that will be an improvement. I want something closer to Bon Voyage — hotels your sims can actively stay in. - ck2137 years agoLegend

That would be nice.
I would put one in Del Sol Valley, Windenburg, Sulani, and San Myshuno.
Perhaps Oasis Springs if we get a Casino pack. - Cynna10657 years agoSeasoned Ace

I agree, partially.
TS3's hotel system had rabbit hole structures, true. However, it wasn't a rabbit hole in its entirety. There were rooms that could be rented and community dining areas that were open for play. In addition, any items that were put on the lot -- casino items, pool accessories, food stands, etc., could be used by guests.
In addition, there was an entire system for resort owners to upgrade and advertise the facilities. It's a sight better than what we got with IL, which is nothing at all. Even a home rental system would have been welcome. It seems that the 'EP' originally had it, but it was disabled. - franka440217 years agoRising AdventurerI really love it as it is now, but I can see the appeal as a vacation destination. I'm originally from Trinidad (living in New York City) and Sulani reminds me of the Caribbean. I am enjoying it so much!!!
- userafw7 years agoSeasoned AceI want to see a Hotel/Motel/Campground lot trait or venue type. Any lot with this lot trait/venue could be rented by the day but not owned. Lots without this lot trait or venue type could be owned. That way, it could be toggled off/on for any lot by going into build/buy mode.
- Pfft, nah! There's no way in the world I would've bought an expansion called "Island Living" that didn't let you live on the island, and the island is GORGEOUS, I'm loving living vicariously on the island through my sims, lol. I do agree with others saying that Sulani and Selvadorada both would be best if they gave the option to live or vacation there. I didn't play Island Paradise much so I don't have much of a frame of reference for how resorts would work, but it'd be neat to have sims vacationing in Sulani (& Selvadorada) as well as have sims live there.
