Would you be interested in a sims game with very high graphics, open world, much like other next-generation games like GTA, tomb raider, etc?The worlds would be alot richer and bigger, the streets more populated, but it would require you to upgrade to a gaming PC?Take TS3 as a reference but think about way better optimization and stability and much higher graphics settings, better lighting and textures. And the sims would be more detailed, realistic and customizable.Key question: would you invest in a much better machine for a much better sims game?EDIT: This is directed to those not playing TS4 on the highest settings. Sure, I did it about three times for TS2 and then at least twice since for TS3 and newer games then. I may like my old tube TV but you have to move on at some point but keep the old tube TV just in case you need it one day for something no longer available.

Yes, yes, a million times yes. If they make a truly worthy successor to TS3, with realistic graphics, I would spend a ridiculous amount of money on a new computer to play it, oh my god just thinking about the possibility gets me hyped!

Ugh, I accidentally clicked the wrong button. I meant to say YES. Adding a bunch of toggles to reduce graphics should definitely be an option to make it playable on older computers, but not using the full potential what computers are able to do nowadays seems like such a waste.

No. I'm happy with sims 4. I would upgrade for sims 4 but there's no way I'd upgrade for a sims 5.

The playerbase for the sims is one of the biggest for PC, and that's saying alot. I'd hate to think it's just targeting casual gamers and children. I want a bigger budget and more serious AAA development of the sims and that's what I was trying to imagine.

I still do have a decent computer, but assuming that

- I didn't, and
- Sims 5 has high required specs and is very well-made on release

I would.

I most certainly would upgrade for a Sims game -- so long as the game included features that justified the need for more horsepower. It's not about the graphics either, it's about all of the stuff that goes on under the hood. With me, The Sims series won't be able to rest on its laurels anymore.

I agree. I don't think there will be a Sims game that would ever tax a computer that I would buy. I'm guessing that, due to long development times (?), The Sims series has always seemed to lag behind the technology curve.
