It does remain as "okay" to be offended as it is to be comfortable. It all depends what you do with that feeling, doesn't it?
Thesims1 had MANY "potentially controversial" elements such as the cake-dancers for example, but still it got to be the best-selled PC game in history, beign folowed by TS2 wich also got that achivement (Sold more than TS1) and had no less content of that type.....but you know what?
THESIMS, everything is optional, is a game that if made right alow you to shape the world the way you want. Just because some people dont like that content, doesnt mean it should not be in game because there are people who like it, if you can get rid of it, if you can chose not put it in game, why even bother?
