I voted Yes as I do find Strangerville intriguing but at the same time limited the way EA/Maxis did it. The value for me to pay at an price point that EA/Maxis set is just not there so I rather wait for price drop to get it an price point that I am willing to pay. If the replayability was good then maybe I would reconsider. I would buy an spinoff like it was done with Sims 2 spinoffs because it allows more freedom than mixing it with the main story. As far as losing any features that would come with an spinoff can be added to the main story outside of the side story that would be in the standalone. It appears to me with each version it moving further and further away from total creativity and player rule. :(
