- Sure, if it was a separate game I'd play it. I've had many good years playing similar life sim MMO games. Only trouble is the market is dead now. Quite literally 90% of games like this have shut down in the past 5 years, so it'd be a pretty foolish decision to make one. Especially considering they've already made 3 online sims games and they all tanked...
- ChampandGirlie4 years agoSeasoned AceI just have no interest in this. If they do it, keep it separate and not at the expense of developing the rest of the game. If this just becomes about creating avatars for some online world - no, that's not my thing. I don't personally have any need for it.
- I think the whole reason why people play The Sims is to be able to create their own world with their own people, tell their own stories, etc. Sure it's fun to be able to come and share stuff, maybe do some challenges and whatnot. But at the end of the day, The Sims is supposed to be that private escape. I think instead of thinking about multiplayer options, maybe they could think of expanding The Sims Forums to include certain badges in the game. Like, how cool would it be if we got a little badge on our profile when we completed a scenario or an achievement? I'm just throwing the idea out there...
- SEREFRAS4 years agoLegendNo thank you. I only like to play single player off-line.
- Rambley_Raccoon4 years agoRising TravelerNo-keep Sims as a life sim/sandbox game. I don't want to see begging,online dating,scamming,spamming or griefing in a Sims game.
- Peapod794 years agoSeasoned AceI play MMO's, but that's not why I play the sims so no thank you.
- greydonn4 years agoSeasoned AceThe only sims 4 multiplayer I want to see is if it's like a minecraft server. I make it, I invite my friends, and no one else touches it. Sure, there could be some big ones created, like there are in minecraft, but I'll have nothing to do with them, thank you.
- cyncie4 years agoSeasoned AceNope. My world. No trespassing.
- amapola764 years agoSeasoned AceNo. I do play other MMOs, but tbh, there are lots of games out there that I can play when I want that experience, and they all do it better than EA would. Conversely, as much as I feel that TS4 is lacking in many ways, there's not really anything else out there currently that offers the same experience. I don't want a Sims MMO any more than I want a battle royale in my favorite MMORPG.
Games/franchises should stick to what they do best and keep trying to do even better in their own niche, instead of trying to be all things to all people. - ncisGibbs_BOSS4 years agoSeasoned AceI voted no.
I just don’t think it can be managed in the way I would like.
I’d be up for playing with nominated family and friends. And when you’re offline your town is paused with no risks.
What puts me off:
The idea of strangers coming in and making changes is horrifying! ?
Plus most online games require constant connection and people can still affect changes when you aren’t around. It’s too stressful.
In the war games I play you have to put up a shield to protect your base but the longest is 3 days. So you still need to be online at least twice a week to maintain a shield.
These aren’t free, you have to buy gems ? . You can only win 8 hour or 24hr shields.
You have to find the right group who will help you. The first two groups I was in were fun but the latest is more task oriented so less chat.
I wouldn’t like to do this for any Sims games at all. I imagine micro transactions would be constant. Or some subscriptions being made available to advance quicker.
