One of my active families is a scientist named Bonnie and an alien named Kailee.They have some traits (like being vegetarian) in common and generally I think they are really cute together.Unfortunately, Bonnie is also distinctly “unflirty” which is making her panic at any advances from Kailee. They have been living together as roommates for a while and have a decent (don’t think it’s full) friendship bar. I’ve made small headway but want to get them to at least the “Ask to be girlfriend” stage. The idea is to achieve the Double Life game achievement (finally), so these two need to get married for that. Obviously the conversation has to progress to ‘suggestive’ or ‘amorous’ in order to bring up the relevant interactions...Bringing me to the subject line of my post. Unflirty Sims are really hard to romance. Suggestions or just your own stories appreciated.

They sure are. I had a marriage challenge where I created a guy and then had him date random NPC's without knowing anything about them beforehand. One of the ladies turned out to be unflirty. They got to the boyfriend/girlfriend stage, but she would not get engaged to him

Sending a love letter to a sim that wasn't in my household has worked for me before, but I'm not sure if it'll work if the sim is in your household (my sim's writing skill was at level 10). I kept sending love letters until their love bar was full and they never rejected me.

One of my favorite sims I ever made was unflirty and her reactions were priceless. Sims are naturally flirty and she was on that level where she didn't even want to see Sims flirting so she'd get the quivering lip and just look disgusted for whatever remained of the encounter. If you leave her alone she ended up yelling at someone for flirting. The only thing I don't like is that I'd often spot her as a townie in a romantic mood and flirting. I guess town status doesn't stick with the assigned traits.

Try using romantic mood altering objects in the room while you attempt to romance her (like the vip bucket or a romantic painting, etc) or have her take a bath with rose petals (spa day pack) or a flirty potion or something before hand.

Wow. Unflirty Sims are really hard to romance aren’t they?

These are really good suggestions. You could also take her to the romance festival and drink the flirty Sakura tea together.

Coincidentally, I just finished creating another unflirty Sim a couple of minutes ago: Tuvok from Star Trek Voyager.

This is my latest unflirty sim. She's a unflirty, a snob, and neat so she walks around with a bored look on her face. She smiles if she's making flower arrangements though

I haven’t made an unflirty one yet. But my loner sim drives me crazy sometimes. She’s a scientist, and had to work with sims at work. I rotate to a lot of different households so her work acquaintances change a lot and she’s always getting moodlets .. lol.

make sure that both sims are in a really good mood. and also that its just the 2 of them talking, no other sims in the convo. that helps. even better if you can get them both flirty. but even with a good mood its still possible to get them to flirt successfully.
