Your favourite kits?
After quite a lot of rumination I bought Castle estate and Riviera retreat as a christmas present for myself and it made me wonder... what are your favourite kits and why? π
After quite a lot of rumination I bought Castle estate and Riviera retreat as a christmas present for myself and it made me wonder... what are your favourite kits and why? π
My favourites:
My most wanted:
Most of my kits I got when they've been free. I keep hoping that Book Nook and Industrial Loft will be offered to us someday...
Simtiments
Riveria
Slumber Party
Swimwear Kit I forget the name.
My favorites are mostly CAS but I do really like a few of the build/buy ones as well.
For CAS:
~ Goth Galore is my favorite. I really needed all of these designs and use them a ton. Before this pack, I had to get really creative with my gothy Sims and urban Occults. This pack filled a void.
~ Fashion Street is awesome, I love the Indian/Bollywood designs and use them for Genies, Romani and fantasy noble Sims. This kit is so unique and used to be my top favorite.
~ I have to give 3rd place to Carnival Streetwear. Thought it would be Grunge Revival, but turns out, I use more pieces from Carnival. Love the gothy makeup and fishnet items as well as the little heart sunglasses.
For B/B:
This category was a lot harder to choose favorites because I don't build much. I do, however, download a lot of builds from the Gallery and often do a little bit of tweaking or renovating, so having access to some of my favorite pieces was kind of a necessity for that purpose. Some kits I buy for specific items.
~ Giving the top spot to Storybook Nursery. This is kind of weird for me because I don't tend to focus on younglings, but I so desperately needed Occult/fantasy furniture in black and bolder colors for my Occult offspring, that I was really excited to get this. It kind of makes me happier to play younger Sims now.
~ Giving second place to both Castle Estate and Courtyard Oasis. Castles are right up my alley, so anything to boost those builds is happiness. Courtyard has Moroccan designs that I'm so into, as these were some of my favorite furniture pieces back in Sims 2.
~ Oh, I don't know, I think I have to give this to the Party Essentials. But not because I particularly like the Kit as a whole, I actually don't think it offers much, but I really, really needed those fog items. The fog machine and misty dance floor...I had to have them so I can put them everywhere.
My favs are (highlighted are the ones I mostly use in my dailygaming:
Greenhouse Haven, Storypbrook Nursery Kit, Sweet Slumber Party, Riviera set, Modern Luxe, Blooming Rooms, Country Kitchen, Party Essentials, Artist Studio and Grunge Revival. I dont want to say which one is the best, but on top of the list is Greenhouse Haven and Country Kitchen sets.
JadeleineI love Greenhouse Haven.
I've been following the sims since horse Ranch was announced but could get the game due to not have an eligible platform but at the end of may 2024 I bought a pc and downloaded blooming rooms as it was free at the time. The next month I bought book nook and greenhouse haven along with seasons but haven't bought a kit since as they're not worth the money. Being British, EPs aren't 40 pounds they're 35 and game packs and stuff packs seem slightly cheaper due to the difference in currencies BUT kits are 5 dollars/pounds etc. everywhere so they are more expensive in the UK compared to the US so could they change prices to be equal across the world (just exchange the prices across the different currencies, not the same number the same value). If this isn't possible, could they at least go on sale. Please and thank you.
I love reading about everyone's favourites!
I really like all the eight kits I have, but my favourite is probably Blooming rooms since I love plants π
kukkahillaBlooming Rooms is a must! I wish they included more plants with all the packs.
I love the clutter one, also blooming rooms and Modern Lux, I don't have that many kits yet, but I tend to prefer the build-buy ones. I can't really see myself buying any CAS ones as there is so much clothes already.
I prefer the build-buy ones too, because as you said there really are so many clothes already.
My favourite kits:
Honorable mention: Riviera - the rocks and pool trims
Looking forward: Castle Estate - mostly into the wallpaper, but seems like a must have
All the kits are worth purchasing. π
I only own three kits. My favorite is the Little Campers kit. It has a cute & cohesive theme. And, although, it doesnβt offer any new gameplay, I appreciate the number of functional/interactive objects that it comes with.
