I do boring paperwork all day, spend most of the time in my apartment or trying to get back to my apartment, so no, of course my Sims don't live the same as I do! How boring!
Sometimes they have nothing but a guitar to live on, and have to earn enough for even the worst apartment and go hungry for a day, but usually I cheat them mansions and let them have all the fun I don't know how to/am too poor for.
The only similiarity is that I lean toward creative careers because I like creative things, but I don't let myself do the same thing over and over.
