I always take my own screenshots, never use the camera in game. I've never used the memory system in TS4, I didn't care about memories in TS2/3 either. In TS3 they made every insignificant happening a "memory", can't remember how many times I deleted all the "got invited to a party", even from babies (those were usually the first memories a sim had) and every time any sim upgraded an object. It was tedious and not fun.
I don't make stories, and rarely take screenshots (there are exceptions with some families). Maybe that's why I just don't care about the feature.
