Miria used to be a timid peasant girl who herded sheep, but when young nobles hurt her, she begged the Goddess of Darkness grant her the gift of immortality so she could get her vengeance. She took herself a new name, Porfyria, and has been a vampire ever since.
Soon after receiving the Dark Gift, she met Morbandos, a master vampire Scholar, who had asked Goddess of Darkness to turn him into a Vampire out of academical curiosity and because he had uncurable purple plague. Porfyria and Morbandos are planning together to create a Vampire Coven, though they have very different ideas what potential joiners should be like.
