[1.121/Royalty] Sim Picker (travel by phone etc.) fails; LE generated

I have just bought the new pack and I have updated all mods and cc (to my knowledge) and this has only started today. When i try click travel on the phone nothing happens and I get a report saying this :

Any ideas what may be causing this? I have repaired game and checked for broken mods.

Sim Picker functions (e.g., travelling) failing with the Royalty EP is mod-related.

With the Royalty EP (and possibly without but so far, not in testing), travelling and other options that pull up a Sim Picker fail with some custom career mods. Note this scenario:

One Sim is in a custom career

A different Sim attempts an action that produces a "Sim Picker" panel — travelling by phone, posting to someone on Social Bunny, etc.

The action fails and an LE is produced.

If you don't have Better Exceptions installed, the LE includes "ui_dialog_picker.py" and "cpp_message".

If you do have BE installed, you get a "cpp_message" error.

Not all custom careers are affected, but there are likely a lot of them, so please use the lists in Broken and Updated Mods and CC for now. Follow Broken and Updated Mods and CC to get notifications of new reports of broken/updated mods in this category. Testing is ongoing. Very few mods have been updated for this issue so far. As of February 16, you can update/download Lot 51 Core Library to correct this issue, including for mods that don't say they require Core Library. Note that some mods may, of course, be broken in other ways!

Most gigs/odd jobs mods are not affected.

Some custom traits might also be affected, but my understanding right now is that it should be very, very few. I've not yet started testing those.

I have the same issue. I'm gonna check through my Adeepindigo mods, because without them it seems to work...?

Do you have Pandasama Childbirth mod? That's what was causing mine, may be because of the nursing career

Hi, I had to remove certain mods then I worked out it was Pandasama Childbirth Mod - must be because of the nursing career?

Rosabella-sims97 Pandasama has just updated for this, but it's certainly not the only possible cause. Do see her update notes -- you'll have to rejoin the career.

Thank you, it was in fact the two listed Adeepindigo mods for me (Youth Equestrian and freelance chef) - kicked them out and now it's working again. 😆
Also, my first time using the forums for mod help - very fast and helpful reactions here. 🤩
Edit: i believe it might have to be the education Overhaul Mod too, at least when one of the kids is enrolled in one of the schools that come with this mod.

I’m having this same issue and cannot for the life of me figure out what it is, I have adeepindigo’s dynamic teens mod and a handful of kiarasims4 mods but I went in and updated all of the mods myself and deleted some that I thought were causing the issue but am still having the same error message and also only the “nap” option is available on couches? I’m so frustrated.

Despeignes1111 No a.deep.indigo mods are cleared as patch compatible. Any KiaraSims careers could be broken; most aren't yet re-cleared since we had this new information. Very, very few modders have updated for this, so please assume it could be any mod.

The napping-only issue is not related to this post. I don't know of a particular mod causing that right now, but it might just not have been reported yet. Please see vanilla and 50-50 testing in How to Use Mods and CC, and the section on managing mods at game updates.
