A few questions regarding modding resources

So what is happening to the modthesims site? Why is it down?

Why did the latest patches break the tool used to mod for the Sims? Will a new tool be made or will EA make it so mods are friendly in the game again?

    They're doing a full backup in preparation for an upgrade to the server. It'll be back before you know it. :)

    Not sure about the tool thing though. There are ways to extract the files but it doesn't work right, it depends on the program that you use.

    Ok thank you. Yeah I just heard about it. Makes me feel bad for modders if they can no longer made mods without it.
