Sims 4 main menu not working after Sept 2024 update

I updated The Sims 4 two days ago and since then it won’t let me play. I can’t get past the main menu and nothing I click on works, I can’t resume a game, create a new game, open the gallery or settings, I can’t even exit the game. I’ve already had previous problems with the UI from the last update but this is just worse.

I’ve tried everything I can to fix it and nothing is working

    I removedthepancake1 color sliders UI v2o more columns compatible and the More Columns mod and it seems to be working but unfortunately it keeps crashing when I enter build mode, I go to save one of my builds and it crashes

    I wish updates were optional like you could choose when you wanted to update because I just wanted to play The Sims but no, I had to wait a whole day for it to update which ended up breaking it

    I had this issue, and I ended up using the 50/50 method. It came down to thepancake1 color sliders UI v2o more columns compatible. Now it seems like im dealing with an endless loading screen after hitting play. If its not one thing its another

    I'm having the exact same issue and the only way I can get out of the menu screen is to restart my computer. This is beyond frustrating.

    I am having the issue, restarted as well. I've cleared any new mods I may have downloaded and tried it without mods and it worked, but all of my other mods were literally fine in June. I am losing it!!

    If you still have issues, test without mods. Instructions on how to do that and how to identify broken mods in your folder are in How to Use Mods and CC

    If you use a lot of build-mode CC and aren't on a Mac, consider also running a batch fix for DX11 in Sims 4 Studio.
