For my final note on this for now, I've done more research and I cannot find anything supporting the quote from @SimGuruEugi above. I agree with him that this SHOULD be possible, but I don't think it is currently. The developers have to give us protocol buffer objects to deserialize the strings where the Sim physical attributes are stored. I can find no such objects currently defined. I don't think they are defined anywhere currently because, for the current feature-set of Sims 4, it is not necessary to access these physical attributes from the core EA python scripts. Because of that, it isn't there for modders either.
I think it would be GREAT if the developers made them available to modders even if they don't need them currently for anything in the EA scripts, but I don't know if that will happen. Otherwise, I guess we have to wait for an expansion that has some functionality in it that requires the creation of these objects for the EA code to access...
