All distinguished degrees are locked

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.61.15.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Have all packs except a couple of stuff packs and island living
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? All distinguished degrees are locked in both Britechester and Foxbury even though my sim has some maxed skills. If I hover over the degrees, it says my sim has no enough skill for the degrees.
What happens when the bug occurs? Unable to apply any distinguished degree
What do you expect to see? I want to see he will be allowed to apply for other distinguished degrees, not the one he graduated with.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

One of my sims graduated Univ of Britechester with Psychology which is not distinguished one. After that, I saved him onto library and started a new sim life in the new game. He tried to enroll the university and I found a weird thing. I can see apply univ(75) and enroll university also were activated. He clicked 'enroll the university' option, and all distinguished degrees are locked and say,"my sim has no enough skills for the distinguished degree.' My sim's cooking skill is 7 and gourmet cooking is 5 but culinary arts degree is locked in Britechester. I mean ALL distinguished degrees are locked. He is not allowed to apply any other distinguished degrees. I don't want him to re apply to psychology again but at least I want him to get other distinguished degrees. No hope.

Also I spent 75 for re applying the university and waited for a day, then he tried to do enroll university but the same. I also deleted all cache files and repaired game in Origin but still the same. This game is freshly created  one, so I don't think the save file is corrupted.

    @crinrict The issue has gone. After he got the university acceptance letter, I tried again and this time, he is allowed to go for almost of distinguished degrees. wow!! Then I don't need to share the file. I will remove the link. Thanks. :D

    @aodoherty Does he have any other degrees yet ? Is it just this Sim you saved to the library or can you duplicate with other sims that already have skills when brought into the game ?

    @crinrict Yes he had earned the psychology degree in Britechester. And then, I saved him into library in cas, then took him out in the new game. Only this sim has an issue. I have other sim who has currently 10 distinguished degrees and he has no problem to apply other distinguished degrees. And... the sim, Ken was randomly created one. I remember this sim was my G sim’s roommate. When my G sim asked him to join my household, I saw an orange colored alert on Ken’s university classes. I don’t know what it was in English but such as probation? So Ken re enrolled on psychology again and graduated with B. And then i saved him into library separately, then brought him to a new game with my G sim. Now Ken is not able to go for any distinguished degrees.

    @crinrictLooks like a bit different. In my case, he studied after moving into my household, then I asked him study really hard, and also he entered the building for graduation and got diploma as well. After that, he got a job at police station as detective level 6. After that, I took him out of my household, then turned him into unplayed sim again. A few days later, after my G sim graduated the univ of britechester, I saved Ken alone in the library, and I saved my G sim alone in the library.

    I started a new game with my G sim for New Foxbury life, and I also took Ken out of library and left as a homeless sim. A few days later, I added him back into roommate again, and then my G sim got a new diploma in Foxbury. After that, I added Ken into my household and I tried to get another degree for Ken but all distinguished degrees are locked except for Fine Arts and Art History. Unbelievable point is his handiness, rocket science are all level 10 but the distinguished degree of computer science is still locked.

    Oh yes I can share my saves if it's needed. 🙂 I will put him on the gallery.

    Update: The household name is Eliot and the Sim who has this issue is Ken Rider. I just put it onto gallery. I removed all CC contents but I don't know why it said Custom contents were detected.. anyway, so custom contents has to be checked, otherwise they won't be seen.

    @aodoherty I downloaded that family to a fresh save. They somehow already applied to Uni and I just had to enroll (is that always the case when you do a second degree ?)

    Upon enrolling, I did have all degrees as an option.

    Is that the case for you as well if you don't have him living as NPC for a while ?

    Can you send me the save ?

    Here is the save file location. Because he had 2 options,'enroll university' and 'apply university(75)'. At first time, I didn't use apply university and tried to enroll the university, and all distinguished degrees were locked except for those 2 degrees,'art history and fine art' in britechester. So I expected the locked degrees would be activated if I apply the university one more time, and I applied and got the acceptance letter from the university. That's why apply university is grayed out and only enroll the university is left activated.
    Yes Once the sim graduated the university, that sim doesn't need to apply the university again when that sim wants to challenge another one. In case my G sim, he keeps enroll the university and can start a new term straightaway without re applying university.

    @crinrict Still have no idea what was wrong with him though..maybe it could be because he was an NPC when he had been in Britechester which means I've never applied the university FOR him. Oh yes that's why he was able to have 'enroll university' and 'apply university' at the same time. Thank you for testing my file and helping me. crinrict 🙂
