All plants disappeared and won’t grow back

After the most recent update all of my sim’s plants disappeared and won’t grow back. It still has the plants magnificent quality but just the dirt pile remains. Now I’ve noticed that if I hover over my bed or a painting on my wall it labels it as a money tree. Never had this happen before. Please fix this!

Here's an open bug thread about plants reverting to dirt piles that may have some useful info for you.

I've had this issue myself linked to Eco Living, Seasons and Cottage Living and one thing that sometimes works for me is to speed up the season changes if you have Seasons installed. I also find that sometimes it affects different lots in different ways so for a time it affected Granite Falls pretty badly and some of my CoL lots in particular.
As for the Money Tree issue I've not seen that before but are you on PC with mods installed by any chance? Because if so it could be mod related and this thread will have advice for you unless a PC player picks this up as they know their stuff!

@Jennsskylar04 what I'd do is start a bug report for the Money Tree issue as that sounds very strange indeed. I've looked around but not seen it mentioned. It would help if you could get a shot of it and add that to the bug report to show the team.
  • Are you against using cheats? If not, enable the testing cheats and you can set your plants back to their previous growth stage. It's not ideal of course, and personally I despise having to use cheats/mods/workarounds just to bypass some of these issues, but on console unfortunately the only way you can really fight this problem is with cheats. I'll try and explain the process to you in case you'd like to use it, though keep in mind that the cheat will disable earning achievements so don't use it if you want to earn achievements.

Press LB, RB, LT and RT at the same time. In the text box that pops up, enter testingcheats on to enable the cheat. Now put the cursor over the problematic plants, then hold the B button and press A. A debug menu should pop up with one of the options being Set Gardening State, so select that. In the next set of menus select Growth Stage, and from there just select wherever your plants were prior to glitching.

You may want to use testingcheats off when you're done, because if you don't then the cheat will stay active and won't be disabled until you turn it off. Personally I keep it on just because it can come in handy to deal with some of the bugs this game has, though I'm not sure if it's good to leave on or not so you may want to play it safe. Again I know this isn't an ideal way to deal with the problem, EA really needs to get their crap together and fix their game, but until they do then unfortunately you either have to cheat or just deal with the problem.
