Any Mod Breaks My Game

Question

When I start the game with any of my saved games, the game won't load further than the map part. I select the family I want to play in but the game won't load and is stuck in the map part. This happens because of the mods because when I remove all the mods there isn't an issue.&nbsp; I tried to find if any specific mods are breaking my game but no, it's not it. This happens when there are any mods in the folder. Not a specific one that's broken. I can't play my game with mods anymore. This happened after an update months ago and still hasn't fixed. I tried deleting and redownloading the game, deleting the mods folder, localthumbcache.package and every popular fixing method. Please help, I missed TS4 so much!

Lileya12​ move your the sims 4 folder from documents/electronic arts/ to your desktop and the game will make a new one when you start a new game. then you can gradually move your mods back a couple at a time until you find the culprit. doing half and half doesn't work if you have thousands of mods like some people do. when your game is working again you can move your saves and tray folders into the new folder.

Lileya12​ Normally this is currently an issue only with some pre-August 2025 script mods&nbsp;or if you remove certain mods (CC playmats, food mods where you didn't delete the food itself) and you can't load a particular household those were used in.
In a fresh mods folder, can you load just custom content? Something like furniture?
