Bed disappeared when placed on lot

For some reason, whenever I place a bed onto the lot it disappears. I've tried removing all broken Mods and CC's and repairing the game, and it still continues. I am using a windows gaming PC. Am I the only one that is experiencing this issue? It's been occurring since the last update.

I strongly suspect that this being caused by a mod or CC item that got broken by the last update.

Try moving your entire mods folder to your desktop and start the game, go into a lot and place a bed.  It should place with no problem and not disappear.  If it doesn't disappear, then you've got a mod or, most likely a CC item, probably either a CC bed, bed frame or mattress, that is causing it.  In that case, you'll have to hunt down the file causing the problem and remove it.

A couple of other questions for you.  Is it happening for all beds or just one or two?  And does it happen for just CC beds, game beds or both?  Finally, have you downloaded any beds lately?

You might have downloaded one that was made before the game broke a lot of CC beds some time ago when the upgrade options were added and that hasn't been updated since the patch that did that.  Those can be fixed using a Sims 4 Studio batch fix.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi, I had this issue a few weeks ago, and this is how I fixed it.

After the High School Years patch update on July 26th, most CC beds were broken because of the new bed animations included in the patch.

You have two options for fixing this, first, you could look through all your CC and check if the creator has an update for the new patch and remove the CC if not. This is a good option if you have a small amount of CC, but if you have a lot of CC this can be very tedious and time-consuming, and there is a much more efficient fix.

If that is the case, please follow these instructions

    1. download the latest version of The Sims 4 Studio (3.1.6.3)
    2. run The Sims 4 Studio, and once it loads, click content management at the top the application, then batch fixes, objects, and fix bed slots (High School Years EP)
    3. Let the batch fix run, this may take a while if you have a larger mods folder
    4. That's it! This should fix most (if not all!) of your CC beds!

Let me know if you have any trouble with these fixes. 🙂

    Hi,

I had no idea the Sims4 Studio would work so effectively in this situation. You saved me so much time and hassle trying to fix these mods one by one. Thank you very much :-)

I'm having this problem right now also but it's only happening on one lot. The other lots seem to be fine. I have no mods or CC. I tried quitting and repairing the game but it's still happening. So I deleted the house and put in an old copy of the same house that I had in my gallery. That worked.

I’m having the same issue! And I don’t think it’s a broken CC . I’m still trying to figure it out and testing new methods.
