Blacked out sims bug. Not from Gt

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Not sure
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansion packs up to high school years. All game packs except the wedding pack. All stuff packs except patio stuff.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure how you can find the bug as it happens at random, but maybe just travel to a public lot so more sims can spawn to have a better chance of seeing the bug.
What happens when the bug occurs? Ever since I have installed High school years I have had a bug that causes my sims to become blacked out random or appear as static. This is not the same as the bug from growing together as I neither have that pack nor have I updated my game since installing High school years. I have only seen the glitchvon young adults on up, but I'm not sure if it happens to other life stages. ( it my only be with young adults )
What do you expect to see? I expect to see my sims and walk by sims apear as normal in my saves. I do not expect them to appear as static or blacked out.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I installed an updated prior to installing the limited purchase version of sims 4 high school years expansion pack.

No cc installed at all. Only mods that were installed were mccc and t.o.ol. but I had the bug before I even installed those 2 mods in. I always play at least a week before installing any mods or cc after an update to test out my game.

@nicblu2783 Try deleting your localthumbcache file and repair the game by clicking on the three dots on the game in ea app and choose repair.

I tried deleting the cache, but I have not moved over to the EA app yet as I hear it is very buggy. I do however realize that I will need to switch over inorder to receive any new updates or batch fixes as well as install new packs. But I was hoping that the bug I have would be recognized and repaired before I did so that I may try to avoid and additional problems.

@nicblu2783 It's very hard to tell what's causing it without being able to troubleshoot basic things.

Could you check what your current version number actually is ? Main menu, lower right corner.

Bug reports on old game versions are usually not very useful cause the bug you're seeing might no longer be in the game at all.

Sorry, I had a lot of personal things I was dealing with and no chance to open my game, but the game. Someone at work told me I can do a game repair myself but idk what that intels.

@nicblu2783 I would recommend a game repair but you won't be able to do this without updating.

Maybe someone else is willing to assist you further. I don't know what to recommend on this old version.
