Broken Main Menu UI with wwwww's after patch 1.124

Once again after an update my game is completely broken. I can’t even disable mods or CC. You’d think after all these years of updating, that they would figure out how not to break a game.  When I go...

    xo_koko1983​ This is the thread where I'll collect these reports. You'll need to check Previously Broken mods and CC and the current Broken and Updated Mods and CC thread for likely candidates. If that doesn't solve the issue, there's 50-50 testing. When someone has identified a specific cause, I'll add into here (unless it's an 18+ mod or one not covered in the Forums for some other reason). 

    TESTED CAUSES:

    • thepancake1 – Color Sliders
    • King Zace – 15 Clubs per Sim
    • Twisted Mexi – All Scenarios  – updated May 14; get the new version from the TwistedMexi website

    • meat-ice-creammm – gender-neutral CAS thumbnails

I was having an issue like this earlier as well. I was trying to test the mods folder (i started using mods recently). But even after I removed the mods folder, I couldn't get my game to load passed what I'm assuming was supposed to be this screen (it was just a shadow with an x in the corner). I repaired the game, nothing. I just finally moved my entire sims folder to my desktop and let the game start with a fresh one, and that is when it finally started working.

I am just now going through my mods to see which ones work and which ones don't. It will be a process which is kinda frustrating, but when you decide to use mods you have to accept that there is a risk. 

In case anyone else uses mods like I do, I would try starting with a new sims folder and going from there. It will save a lot of frustration in the long run.
