Quite possibly, yes. This was a big patch that included a lot of changes, as well as preparing a lot of basegame code to work with the Cats and Dogs EP. This much breakage was expected; it happened with Sims 3 Pets too. Normal course of affairs.
Wow. I Wonder how long it took to get the mods up and running again for sims 3? I realize some of my mods are mods that barely anyone here probably knows about, and wouldn't really pay attention to.
I remember that Twallen (NRaas) was really quick with the updates.
