i just tried it without skip world, it seems as tho its not skipping world maps
You skip the world map by selecting the top right option where you see the last Sim you played with.
i use it with their skip the main menu. so i guess if you use their skip main menu you still need the skip world one
Skip World Map is obsolete because EA added this functionality with the "Resume" button. If you previously used Skip Main Menu and Skip World Map together you need to update Skip Main Menu by choosing
thepancake1-SkipMainMenuAndMap-v1c-1.88.package from the download options (and deleting both old skip files). That one will skip the main menu and map to go straight to the household like before.
