build mode is not working

hi , so a few months back I came on to sims and went into build mode but build mode wouldn't work so I deleted all my cc and mods . More recently I came onto sims4 and build mode was working so I downloaded some cc and mods .  Afterwards ,  I went onto build mode and no items were showing and it wouldn't let me come off build mode or the app . I've tried repairing sims4 , updating and repairing my computer . This problem is getting quite frustrating as it is stopping me from playing in build mode , meaning i cant play the sims4. please get back to me as soon as you can i really want to play the sims . thank you.
