Previously Broken Sims 4 Mods and CC

ABOUT THIS TOPIC

This topic covers Sims 4 mods and custom content that were broken before the current game patch and that don’t have an update available.

 The lists here are selective!

  • They do not include 18+ mods, paywalled content, mods/CC that obviously break trademark or copyright rules, or some other categories discussed in the current Broken/Updated Mods & CC topic.
  • They also do not include a lot of old mods and CC, especially items that the creators deleted.
  • For gameplay mods, unsupported and obsolete mods are included as well as broken ones. For CAS and Build/Buy CC, only broken mods are included.
  • They don’t include everything a player has reported broken: many player reports don’t have any detail about what broke or about how they tested to find out the problem was that particular mod
  • A lot of mods and CC out there could be broken but that hasn’t come to attention recently enough to make this least.

REMEMBER: You can’t rely only on other people to know what’s broken in your Mods folder. Learn how to test your mods.

    Gameplay Mods: Broken, Obsolete, Unsupported

    KEY: LE = last exception; obsolete = the mod is a bugfix that’s no longer needed (and may cause problems if left in!) OR the creator has replaced it with a different mod; unsupported = the creator won’t be updating it if it breaks; adopted = another creator has taken over the mod 

    General Categories
    • all “washing dishes” fixes – obsolete and cause game issues now
    • many presets, sliders, and default replacements listed in [MOD/CC RELATED] Sims have a Shattered Buggy Face
    • world-copying mods – none currently released are supported/working. NOTE: For this category of mod, if you remove these mods, those saves won’t be fully usable, and all such mods had previous known issues
    • Custom preference categories that are NOT supported by Zerbu’s Custom Preferences Mod
    • custom holiday traditions not updated after the July 2024 patch: minor tuning issues may result in gameplay issues
    • Child and Teen custom Aspirations from before the July 2024 patch
    • custom loading screens that use the EA plumbob and that weren’t updated after the October 2024 patch
    • main menu replacement mods from before January 23, 2025
