Cannot buy furnished house. Previous sim is dead.
Hello, i really need help. Im playing a legacy challenge, and right now some of the neighbours have died. I was trying to repopulate the area, including a house that i had name with a previous sim that i made.
So i created a new family to live there gave them motherlode money, but i can't buy the house furnished even though i have the money for it. I really dont wanna loss that house, because it's one of my best builds. I also can't do a new save cuz I'm in the middle of a legacy. Pls help
I haven't encountered this issue for awhile now but the workaround worked last time I did. Let's not give up yet.
Try entering again in build mode and delete some higher valued item and do a replacement. For example, delete your current sofa and replace it with one of higher value. Perhaps some minimum dollar amount has to be reached for the workaround to kick in and establish a value for a furnished house but I don't know that to be fact. You can always put the house back to your original design once you can get it occupied.
It may not be necessary but if I was trying this I would also save the game after making the more major change, exit the game and delete localthumbcache.package file from the documents folder before restarting the game. Hopefully, this will solve the problem.
