@E-Ren1061 Try deleting and replacing the stairs, preferably in a different configuration, at least initially. You could also save the house's rooms separately, then delete and rebuild the second floor.
If those steps don't help, then please do share the lot, either by posting a link to the Gallery page or just listing your username as it appears in the Gallery and the name of the lot. I'm guessing someone here will be happy to test, although not me because I'm not great at that kind of thing.
