Can't complete presentations or term papers

So I just bought Discover University and city living while they were on sale. No matter what I do, my sim cannot write a term paper (the option just isn't there) or do her term presentation (I have all 3 but they're black and don't work)I have tried removing all CC and mods and then restarting the game and I continue to have the same issue. Any ideas what I can do? :(

HalfCookedToast Could you please test loading a new save and playing as a Sim who comes with the game and is already a student? Do that still with a renamed Mods folder.
