Can't get into the game, and when I do the screen is messed up and glitchy.

Hi, this is my first time posting so hope I am doing this right. I have looked in the discord and others are having the same issue I had with the message popping up saying "An error on our end cause the launch to fail. Please try again later." I looked for what others did to fix it, and only having bare bones technical skills I did what seemed easiest and just renamed my mods folder, and took out the mods I know tend to mess with it (ui cheats, mc command centre, etc) then I actually manged to load into the sims 4 main menu, however when I did it looked like the image attached and I could not interact with anything.
