CC Causing Masculine Filter to Break

So I've been trying for hours to find the cc that has made it so the masculine filter in CAS has stopped working. I messed around a bit and tried using Mod Conflict Detector to narrow it down, but it only shows cc with potential issues and doesn't point out the exact conflict. Since removing mods and restarting my game several times, my game now refuses to start at all. I'm repairing TS4 in Origin, but I don't know if this will work. I've never had this problem before. Can anyone help me? If you've had this problem, what cc was causing the issue?
  • It would be best to move the original sims 4 folder to another part of your computer to keep as a back up copy in case issues occur in the future.
You may need to use the 50/50 method to work out what cc is causing the issues . Put half of your mods/cc into the mods folder then start the game and see if the issue is still there. If the issue is not there, then you know that those items work okay with the game. Then you can test the other half of your cc/mods.
If the issue is still there with the first half, you will need to keep testing them to see what is causing the problem. Then you will need to test the second half of your cc/mods too.
  • Hello
Try moving your whole sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" and "custom music " folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.
Don’t put back your old mods folder. Instead put the mods into the newly generated mods folder. Then test to see if the issue remains.
  • Update: Repairing the game in Origin did nothing, but after pulling random cc files from my mods folder, the game will at least start again. Removing these files did not solve the masculine filter issue, though. I'll try your fix @rosemow
  • @rosemow I tried your fix and the game still doesn't have the masculine filter working. What do you suggest I do? Also, should I replace the new folder with the original folder I moved to the desktop or delete the original? Or should I keep both? I definitely don't want to mess anything else up.
    Thank you.
