Certain CC not displaying in CAS

I was hoping I could post here about my dilemma and fellow simmers could give me some perspective: The issue is that a sizeable portion of CC (mainly clothing) is not displaying within the CAS of my game. However, it does display on the mod list that pops up whenever you start the game, so, I do know that the game recognizes the files as mods/CC.

What's weirder is that there are certain sims that are wearing these items that are not displaying within CAS but the game does not display the item as being worn. Whenever I click on the aforementioned CC within cas while the sim is wearing it, it does not take me to the CC (normally, whenever you click on a piece of clothing within CAS, it takes you directly to the piece). It simply shows the very top/beginning of whatever category the CC is in.

I have also completed the usual steps for troubleshooting (deleting localthumbcache.package, deleting my mods folder and letting the game recreate my resource.cfg file, repairing the game through the EA APP, the works) to no avail. I am assuming I simply have broken/old CC.

Are the any other simmers that have experienced this? If so, how did you solve it?

Hi so the cc could possibly be broken or maybe you accidentally pulled it out of your mods folder / deleted it. Try checking your trash. Lol I always accidentally end up deleting my stuff. I usually try to keep all of my cc sorted by creator. So if by chance you know what creator the cc is from, you might could search it up in your mods folder. You may also have to try to reinstall the cc if you know the creator. Also make sure to check and see if the creator has any updates for that item (if possible). Hope this helps. :)

Also, tons of people including me have been having major issues similar to this and just issues with the game in general. Don't stress too much because I think this is on EA's end and hopefully there will be an update soon!

  • Sounds like a tagging issue. Check if you can see the CC if you remove all the filter choices so that the game shows all pants, for example. You can fix tagging of CC yourself in Sims 4 Studio if need be.
