Clothing Bug lost meshes

I was asked to start a new thread.

Wednesday

I didn't know about the multiple outfits per slot until I read this thread. My problem is that The Game automatically created extra outfit slots for my Sims and then filled them randomly picking clothes and then the result is that many meshes are now missing for those Sims and I get no working outfit for that slot at all. If I have only one slot used for a particularly outfit, I have no mesh issues ever for my 100+ Sims. I would rather have a working outfit than multiple outfits. Maybe this is caused by outdated CC's but I don't care about that either as the outfit works if only one slot per type is used. So, how do I remove these extra outfits that Maxis created for me? This problem just started for me a  few days ago.  Is Microsoft the only company that actually fixes bugs and never uses work-arounds? It took MS 7 months to clean up The Elder Scrolls Online's bugs from Bethesda after it was bought out: It was amazing that nothing related to the actual gameplay worked. Another famous work-around bug company product is Red Dead Redemption 2 and the driving games from that company/studio. I had a lot of time  invested in playing Dragon Age Inquisition but I made the mistake of choosing the 2nd inventory upgrade option, which cannot be undone, after buying all the DLC content: this makes items disappear. After losing 3 top of the line crafting items from the DLC's, I quit, never to return (This is an EA company or studio) and this bug has been around for years just as the outfit bugs from Maxis plus The Sims 4 is very buggy. I see the ratings for some of these games in the high 80's or even 90 where the actually players rate them at 6 or 60's because you cannot play the graphics and the actual game mechanics don't work.  What if you went to a movie theater and the sound track changed languages every few minutes or whole sections of the movie was out of focus? And movies take less than 1/2 the time to make than these stupid video games. Wouldn't you stop going to the movies produced by those kinds of companies? Movie companies hire competent directors and actors for their movies where Game Studios are still hiring relatives from the high executives' mothers dogs or his/hers 2nd cousin's hamster to run complex areas of the playability part of the games such as Software Engineer.

To be fair, even though MS is supposed to be the best run company, I don't like them because of their policies towards their users. And I've never liked Gates and I knew him in the old days!

Regards,

Edit:

If you are in outfit #2 there is a very dim "x" in all the other outfit slots where an outfit can be deleted. This does not fix my problem. Once the outfit has lost the mesh for a particular character, then it appears to be lost for that character for all time. I also am aware of the fact that a hair, makeup or any clothing item may cause the character to display for that outfit a lost mesh image. I have deleted all extra outfits for all my characters and I have 3 characters out of 83 that I have created in game where I cannot get rid of the outfit lost mesh problem that surfaced a few days ago. This lost mesh image always first occurs for outfit one. If you change outfit one to "nude" then the mesh problem moves to outfit 2 but this will prove that the mesh problem is not caused by a cosmetic or hair problem. A completely different character can wear the identical outfit in its same slot with no mesh problem. Every single mesh problem started with multiple outfits gifted to that character from Maxis as I was unaware of the multiple outfits but it is easy to see once a character has multiple outfits for a particular slot.
