Corrupted files

Long story short… My onedrive permanently deleted my entire sims folder, so years worth of saves and 200gb+ of cc gone like that (I was completely devastated and still am)… so I tried everything I could to recover my files again and I managed to get them all back, however I’m pretty sure most of them are corrupt. When I try load into sims, it gives me an error message and tells me a CC that I remove. Once i remove it, it says another and it’s just back and forth. Is there a way to fix this at all, like would I be able to repair this? Maybe it’s the saves, or the trays (which btw i removed the cc folder and tried loading in the game and there was no saves or anything in my gallery…) I’m stumped and genuinely so upset over this I’ve tried everything so maybe there’s at least something else I can do… or do i just have to accept my loss and move on..

    @himchanu Do you want to try and recover your save without the cc or with it ?

    Could you post a screenshot of the error you're getting ?

    @crinrict I would really like to recover most of it, but if I had to chose it would probably the saves, they are the most important to me, since my CC folder is quite large.

    Here is what I am getting:

    when I do take out said cc above, another one would appear and so on

    @himchanu If you remove all your mods/cc and test on a backup of your save, does it work ?

    If the cc corrupted, there's probably not much you can do other than do redownload from where you first got it from.

    How did you recover ? With the windows recovery function or from a backup ? Do you not have any files locally ?

    @crinrict yeah I removed my entire mods/cc folder and kept my tray and saves file to test it out and there was no saves nor tray files in my gallery

    and yeah I thought cc might be the least of my worries really, I recovered them via a program as I couldn’t find any other way to retrieve them as my pc has not been backed up for a while and my hdd sadly broke :,)

    nothing really has went well during this time so I’m not sure I’ll be able to retrieve all this again but it was worth a shot. I have sent my pc off to someone who can try retrieve the files without them corrupt and I’m just praying that works, otherwise it’s just a case of starting again honestly
