cpp error
Product: The Sims 4
Platform: Macbook Pro
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.99.305.1220-1.300.000.168.Release
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All packs except Basement Treasures Kit, Simtimates Collections Kit, Bathroom Clutter Kit, Carnaval Streetwear Kit, Modern Menswear Kit, Fashion Street Kit, Bust the Dust Kit, Spooky Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure, the MCCC Error Logged has been appearing since July and the Better Exception Mod has flagged it as a possible cpp_message cause.
What happens when the bug occurs? The bug occurs every time I open the game or transition to play a new family.
What do you expect to see? No Error Logged messages every time I open the game.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I did, but I've removed them to try to test. Even when I removed all mods (with the exception of MCCC) I still got the Error Logged message every time I open the game. I then removed MCCC and tried Better Exception Mod, and Exception Alerts are still appearing. Given I have no other mods present, I don't believe it's a mod/cc issue.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? After Horse Ranch pack was released.
I have raised this in the MCCC discord error support, and was told "Redownload MCCC. Were you setting age settings or cheating sim ages?". I re-downloaded MCCC and it made no difference. I had been setting age settings/cheating sim ages due to fix to aging glitches the Sims 4 had had historically and all the crazy adopting/pets neighborhood stories had created (my townies were a mess).
The Better Exception says:
Recommended Action: No mods are installed, so it is likely this is an official game bug. Please refer to the AHQ Forums for further assistance.
