Custom TV shows mod

Is there a way to convert your own tv shows and create them into custom tv shows that you can watch in the game without any complicated steps? I know I had found one on ModTheSims but it didn't work out for me as I did run into some problems. Does anyone else know any other way?

    I dont know too many technicalities, but if the files for the tv channels are image sequences, gifs, or videos, you should be able to easily edit them if you can find them in the files.
