Disappearing books

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? file version1.56.52.1020 x64 bit windows 10 pro
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all extra content dont have sims university or island living all game packs don't have laundry day, moschino stuff,or romantic garden
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? play it and carry a skill book to bathroom
What happens when the bug occurs? they carry skill book to toilet in hands, go to sit down book disappears, they sit, the book appears in hands they read book, book disappears before they get up from toilet(assuming they close book before they get up) and then the book is gone for good
What do you expect to see? a book in inventory at least or in the hands of the sim
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

this happened to me while holding the fishing book ...

i was reading it then held it while i went to bathroom to use the john

it disappeared after sitting on the john

never came back

    After a few saving, reloading and playing a number of times the books showed up stuck hovering in a wall beside the toilet - one invisible and the other at a 45 degree angle

     ie on spine with the mouth up at 45 degrees

    household member could not get books - had to use build mode to move book and place on table

    Yeah this just happened to me. The sim was reading a skill book (Research & debate) and decided to go get some leftovers from the fridge. I cancelled the eat food interaction (no tf you don't, read the book like I told you to, someone is already cooking in the house) and then she proceeded to go and place the food plate in a chest upstairs and.. *sigh* somewhere in the middle of it the book just disappeared. I've checked all the bookshelves, storage chests, her inventory, all the surfaces where you could place something, the family inventory.. Everywhere. It's nowhere to be found.

    edit: okay so this is an actual thing. The book does turn invisible. I found the book a few days later because I travelled to another lot and when I returned home it had materialised back into existence (see picture below). And no, there is no way I just didn't see it because I basically deleted all the furniture to find it and the book reappeared on a Very visible spot, hanging in mid air in the middle of the kitchen. The only way for it to become visible again was to reload the lot upon travelling back home from another lot.
